JIIT has been developed as a modern world class campus, with intellectually vibrant ambience in a serene and lush green environment. The state-of-the-art campus at a total project cost of Rs. 114 crores, with a total built up area of over 68340 sq. m comprising smart buildings with Internet, with Wi-Fi connectivity, including environmentally conditioned Academic Block, Annapurna (Mess), well-equipped modern laboratories, Learning Resource Centre, Faculty and student residences provides a pleasant and intellectually stimulating ambience for students in an eco-friendly environment.
"Annapoorna" : Capable of accommodating 930 students and faculty at a time with 2 Kitchens.

Banking
The University has tie up with ICICI Bank Ltd. for opening the saving account.
Two ATM machines are installed by ICICI Bank at Security Gate No. 3.
PCO
There is a PCO inside the campus, having facility of local, STD and ISD calls from 8.00 am to 8.00 pm.
Tuck Shop
There is a reasonably stocked Tuck Shop inside the campus wherein items for use by students on daily basis are available and can be purchased at nominal cost.
Photocopy facility
The facility of photocopy is available in the LRC and also near Tuck shop against payment.
Medical facility
The University has a well-equipped dispensary with residential doctors and also has tie-up with number of corporate hospitals for specialized treatment at subsidized rates.
Sports
- Outdoor
There is provision of flood lights for playing the following outdoor sports.
Basketball, Lawn Tennis, Badminton, Volleyball, Football, Cricket
- Indoor
1) Boys & Girls Pool with adequate no. of shower, change rooms water filtration and chlorination facilities.
2) Billiards and snooker table is installed in Indoor Sports Complex
3) A pool table is also available for students.
4) 5 TT tables are installed in Indoor Sports Complex.
5) Each hostel has a separate carom & chess lounge.
6) A well equipped boys gym with Tread Mills and equipments is available for the students.
7) A gym with Cross Trainer and Tread Mill Machine is available exclusively for girls.
Details of Transport
Staff Cars / hired cars provided to the staff / authorities as per terms and conditions, besides Institute has 3 cars, 1 mini bus, 1 ambulance van, 1 fire-tender.
Utilities
Include Laundry, AC Plant, 100% power back-up with DG sets (500 KVA each -3), Water Filtration Plant Tubewell, Boiler for hot water supply in the hostels, Dispensary with boys & girls wards and isolation ward with 2 beds each, covered platform for stage and public address system.
My personal views :
The campus is smaller than
sector 128 campus but highly accessible. If you are an hosteler, then you would actually feel what I mean. It has a full AC academic block. Everything is within reach and the commuting time between various departments, library, cafe, etc. is maximum 2-3 mins. Small size of campus doesn't make it deficient, but rather makes it efficiently connected. Frankly speaking, the campus is short of nothing and has nearly everything that a university must have.
The center of attraction remains LRC (Learning Resource Center), even if you consider books your enemies. It has all the leading tech. journals and magazines. It's always a bliss to reach early in campus and read upto six newspapers. Of course just matching the front page news and checking out the supplements, rest all is just black ink in small font ! We also love facebooking in LRC and it is considered a part of our personal development. Thanx to our seniors who never blocked this site from servers.
The mess (Annapoorna) has the ideal "
ghar ka khana" served for 30 bucks. And believe me, it actually is the ideal "
ghar ka khana". Apart from rare bad days (like once in a month), the food always remains a bliss.
The cafe is an average one and the food items are good. "
Samosas" are the campus favorite and the beautiful sauce grabbing etiquette will just make your jaw drop. It is a great place to hang out with pals between lectures.
The bunking culture is moderate. Obviously we bunk a few lectures, but not like our other pals in DU. Moreover 50 mins lectures can be fun if all friends take the last three rows.
There is even a temple in campus to provide peace of mind and spiritual strength. But folks use it for instant get-together as it is at the center of campus and equidistant from all other classrooms / departments.
The campus crowd is cool and has an ideal Delhi attitude. The environment is clean and tidy. Most seniors are helpful and the whole campus has a brotherhood feeling. However there are some exceptions, but then, who cares about them. *Smirk*
I haven't personally seen fist fights or quarrels in campus, ever. All student behave in a pal-like-manner and a few groups in campus are actually very very cool. It makes the standard 9 to 6 routine a lot more fun.
JYC, Creativity Cell and a lot of other clubs add to the variety of things you can try in campus. And yes, we have the hottest ramp walk. *wink*
All in all, you can say it is a great place to be. you can learn, grow, make best buddies and have fun.
